What does it look like to outsource and seek security and wellbeing outside of myself? Instead of focusing inward for my own security and well-being, I focus on my partner, my friends, my family, my boss, my neighbors, my town, my home, my status, my bank account, my clothes, my holidays, etc. If I do this, I am saying, “I don’t trust myself. I don’t honor myself. Therefore, I abandon myself and base myself on others who have to take care of me and my needs.”
What I am really saying is, “I’m not enough.” It simply hurts to say this distinctly. It takes courage and power to observe myself in detail. But if we outsource our power, we lose the connection to our inner knowing inside of us.
Our body is our dear friend. Many of us haven’t yet taken the time to cultivate a deep nourishing relationship with our body. Maybe we don’t trust our intuition or belief enough to lean into our well-being. We hand our power over to other humans—in relationships, families, workplaces, friends, consumer behaviors, habits, thoughts, opinions, and beliefs.
Let us allow, instead, a reliable loving relationship with ourselves. Let us allow our inner power to expand like a lotus blossom. Let us lean back and thrive.
Life transmits important signals to your soul. Listen to your longing. Listen to your grumbling. Where is your life frozen: in your health? in your relationships? in your calling? in your freedom with time and money?
Each weed is growing, mobilizing all its power in order to break through to the sun.
Life calls you expand—expand toward your dream.
