We as mankind stand in a dilemma today. We see the energy of conflict (consciousness of duality) as well as the energy of harmony (consciousness of unity) in the world. In our individual life we stand in this dilemma too. Our lower self believes we need pretty clothes, the newest gadgets, success, to relate with interesting people… Our shadows, as the neediness of our inner child, which can show up in unhealthy habits, are the expression of our lower self……
Where we want something from someone, we just want ourself. Where we pull something away from us, we just pull ourself away from us. We just project our own universe out there. Whenever we admire someone – e.g. the Dalai Lama – we would like to be important, wise, loving or whatever we see in the other person.
